Description

Day 02: LAGOS - BADAGRY - ABEOKUTA After breakfast, depart on a day visit to Badagry along the coastal road west of Lagos at the Benin Republic border. Badagry was founded in the early 15th century on a lagoon off the Gulf of Guinea, its protected harbor led to the town becoming a key port in the export of slaves to the Americas, mainly Brazil. On arrival you will embark on Badagry ‘Slave Route’ tour including – old slave market, slave trade museum and relics, Seriki Abbas compound (slave baracoons), Gberefu beach (Slave embarkation point) etc, and then Proceed to Abeokuta. - Day 03: ABEOKUTA – IBADAN After breakfast drive to Ibadan. On the way, visit Abeokuta which is the largest city and capital of Ogun State. The original settlers of Abeokuta were of the Egba nation. Later, some members of other Yoruba clans came to the city. You will see such sites as historic Olumo Rock and Itoku Market, where vendors sell the famous Adire fabric. Adire textile is the indigo dyed cloth made in southwestern Nigeria by Yoruba women, using a variety of resist dye techniques. You will also visit the fetish stalls at the market where items of traditional medicine are sold. Lunch is at the Obasanjo Library Complex. Depart after lunch for Ibadan and check-in to your hotel on arrival. Dinner and evening at leisure. Overnight Golden Tulip Hotel or similar -Day 04: IBADAN – ILE-IFE -- OSHOGBO After breakfast depart for Oshogbo. On the way, you will visit Ile Ife known as the cradle of Yoruba civilisation. According to Yoruba people, Ife is where the founding deities Oduduwa and Obatala began the creation of the world, as directed by the paramount deity Olodumare. You will visit Palace of the Ooni of Ife - the spiritual head and highest-ranking King of Yorubaland. Then, on to Ife Museum, statue of Queen Moremi Ajasoro, a prominent female warrior that saved Ife from her enemies and historic Oranmiyan monolith, where you will join “elders of the land” for a drink and ablution to the forefathers and recount lore surrounding the great Oranmiyan warrior-king. Continue to Oshogbo the main city of Osun State located in the farming region where yams, cassava, grain, cotton, and tobacco are grown. On arrival, embark on a tour of this significant town popularly known as the venue for the annual festival along the River Osun. The festival is cantered around the sacred grove of the river goddess Osun, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The dense forest of the Osun Sacred Grove is one of the last remnants of primary high forest in southern Nigeria. Regarded as the abode of the goddess of fertility Osun, one of the pantheons of Yoruba gods, the landscape of the grove and its meandering river is dotted with sanctuaries and shrines, sculptures, and art works in honour of Osun and other deities. The sacred grove is seen as a symbol of identity for all Yoruba people. It testifies to the once widespread practice of establishing sacred groves outside ALL settlements.

Incase of Denial, Customers have the option and opportunity of a ' Visa on Arrival' mode, which requires a pre-application in Nigeria. this process will be completed by the Local Tour Operator, and Customers / Travellers have to travel within 14 business days after approval. The 'Visa on Arrival' approval takes 3 business days to process. Thereafter, Customer, Tourist or Traveller have to travel within 14 Business days after the approval of the 'VISA on Arrival document. The VISA on Arrival Approval Document will be provided to the Airline , with this, Customers, Tourists/ Travellers can Visit Nigeria.
