Lagos, Nigeria: Nigerian Cooking Class and Market Visit
2 ReviewsEducational and culturally immersive cooking class for Nigerian cuisine/food with a visit and tour of the local market in Lagos Island for ingredients.
This Museum located at the Lekki Free Trade center is the home prison, Nigerian Leader, Obafemi Awolowo was sentenced to. Awolowo seemed to have been at peace as the environs of this museum is set on the edge of a beautiful beach.
At the museum, you will see items of clothing i.e. glasses, shoes, cap, sokoto, worn by Awolowo. You will also see before and after pictures of the museum so you appreciate the work done into renovating the museum. A section of the wall has been left intact for visitors to see what the wall looked like (bricks) when Awolowo was in this prison home.
Directly opposite the museum is a beach where you can picnic, and absorb some Sun. There is a tour guard to help with moving about and directions.
