Lagos, Nigeria: Nigerian Cooking Class and Market Visit
2 ReviewsEducational and culturally immersive cooking class for Nigerian cuisine/food with a visit and tour of the local market in Lagos Island for ingredients.
In the heart of the small Nigerian town of Ikogosi,
Ekiti lies a warm spring with a cold spring flowing by its side. Experts have claimed this warm and cold spring running from the same rock formation is a geological wonder, and perhaps the only of its kind in the world. There are several legends surrounding the spring that have been passed down through generations of the local people.
At its source the warm spring is 70°C, and as three springs flow they come to a meeting point, where the temperature is 37°C. The environment surrounding the spring has been left relatively untouched in line with the appeal of eco-tourism. A structure has been placed over the source for viewing purposes.
The spring is believed to have therapeutic properties which relieve the body of aches and other ailments. A warm water swimming pool is provided for tourists to take advantage of these properties and for other recreational purposes.
To maximise the experience for visitors, a resort is located around the spring with various types of accommodations, from an executive VIP chalet to standard rooms, and all of the amenities and facilities required for a luxurious stay.
