Since November 2010 Shukura Coral Hotel in Sokoto has been open for business along Kano road. Shukura Coral Hotel is a very welcoming and relaxed hotel, offering both style and comfort. Its decor is modern, but there are hints here and there of the rich historical heritage of Sokoto.

Sokoto state is steeped in history and dates back to 1804 and the Sokoto Calipahte founded by Shehu Usmanu Danfodiyo.
